FSU Libraries offer a course reserve service for supplemental course materials. These materials may include books, videos, physical objects, or online resources such as e-books, links to articles, or streaming videos. You can place supplemental online course materials on electronic reserve through the FSU Libraries website. See the Libraries' Electronic Course Reserves guide for more information. Why use them?

• Protect your resources by placing personal copies of books, videos, or physical objects in Library Reserves for students to view.
• Get help sorting out fair use copyright rules. Librarians display a citation and copyright notice with online course reserve items.
• Place various items in course reserves, including works in the public domain or produced by the U.S. government and copyrighted materials for which you have obtained permission.

Keep in mind:

• You must submit your requests using the online form on the FSU Libraries Course Reserves webpage. Students can read more about course reserves on the student Course Reserves page.
• You will need to reserve items for the first week of the semester at least three weeks before when the semester begins. Once the semester has started, reserve requests will be processed within five business days.
• Any items placed on electronic reserve must meet FSU Libraries' Policies & Practices, which follow the conditions of copyright law.
