For information on designing course learning outcomes, please see FSU’s Outcomes and Institutional Effectiveness guidelines.

It is possible to export Outcomes data from both an individual course site and from the Sub-Account that houses the Outcomes. Please note: Only Sub-Account administrators will be able to export Outcomes data from the Sub-Account level.

How to export Outcomes data from a course site

  1. Click into the desired course site.
  2. Select Grades from the course navigation menu on the left.
  3. Click Learning Mastery to toggle over to the Outcomes data interface.

If the Learning Mastery option is not visible in your Gradebook, then you need to enable Learning Mastery in your Course Settings.
  4. Select the Export report option on the right-hand side of the page.
  5. Remember to click Grades in the upper left corner to toggle back to the normal Gradebook interface.

How to export Outcomes from the Sub-Account level

Please note: Only Sub-Account administrators will be able to export Outcomes data from the Sub-Account level.

  1. Click on the Admin icon on the garnet-colored global navigation menu. Then, select the Sub-Account you have administrative access to. In the example image below, the Sub-Account is "ODL Testing Grounds."
  2. Select Settings from the white-colored account settings menu on the left.
  3. Click the Reports tab at the top of the page.
  4. Locate Outcome Results. Click the corresponding Configure... button to configure the Outcomes report.
  5. In the pop-up window that appears, select your report options and then click the Run Report button.
  6. You will need to wait a few minutes for an e-mail alert infoming you when the report is ready, or you can reload the page to see if the report has finished processing.
  7. Once the report has been generated, you will see the date and time of the report listed. Click the downward arrow icon to the right of the generated report to download it.
