FSU's Office of Distance Learning is pleased to offer three mailing lists to keep you in the loop: our Distance Up Close newsletter, Canvas Support Center News & Announcement alerts, and Canvas Community Feedback.
Each instructor-centered issue highlights what’s happening at the Office of Distance Learning with updates on Canvas training and technical support, online course and program development, assessment and testing, and more. Click the “subscribe” button below to begin receiving your distance news today.

Be the first to know about any new features added to FSU's Canvas, or service disruptions affecting our Canvas system. Even better: be the first to know when technical issues have been resolved. Each time we post a news item or make an announcement, we'll send you an email so that you know what's what. All of our news items and announcements are posted under the "Recent News" section of our Canvas Support Center homepage. Click the "subscribe" button below to stay in the know.

Canvas takes an inclusive approach to product feedback and feature development: users create, comment, and vote on feature ideas in the Canvas Community website. Canvas takes these votes seriously, so this is the best way for us to bring about beneficial change for the FSU faculty, staff, and students who use Canvas daily. There are also so many different ideas in the Canvas Community pages at any time that it can feel overwhelming to try and find items you'd like to vote for. We'll simplify this process and save you time by recommending and creating the feature ideas that we think will be most helpful. All you do is click a link and vote!
We are committed to emailing information that will be relevant to you and will improve our FSU community's experience of Canvas. We will not necessarily be sending emails at a consistent frequency (e.g., once a month). Rather, we will use this mailing list to recommend specific feature ideas and other topics to upvote on an as-needed basis.
