ODL is excited to announce a pilot partnership with Akindi: a web-based test-scoring tool that serves as an alternative to traditional systems like Scantron. Akindi allows educators to create, administer, and grade both paper-based and online multiple-choice assessments

Some key features of Akindi include:

  • Integration with Canvas: Pilot participants can now have Akindi activated in their course via course navigation. If you would like to participate in this exciting pilot, please send a ticket to our Canvas Support Team.

  • Flexible Scanning Options: Instructors can use regular 8.5" x 11" printer paper and any scanner to manage assessments. Smartphones can also be used, but this is not our recommendation.

  • Enhanced Data Security: Akindi complies with FERPA and FIPPA regulations, ensuring secure handling of student data.

  • Support and Training: Akindi offers unlimited personalized training sessions, chat and email support, group webinars, and a robust help center.

This very exciting pilot is set to take place throughout Spring 2025, with extensions expected through Summer and Fall. If you would like to participate or have questions regarding Akindi, please submit a ticket to our Canvas Support Team. We look forward to hearing from you!
