ODL is excited to announce a partnership with Akindi, a web-based test-scoring tool that serves as an alternative to traditional systems like Scantron. Akindi allows instructors to create, administer, and grade both paper-based and online multiple-choice assessments

Akindi Key Features

  • Integration with Canvas: Instructors can now have Akindi activated in their course via the course navigation menu.
  • Flexible Scanning Options: Instructors can use regular 8.5" x 11" printer paper and any scanner to manage assessments. Smartphones can also be used, but this is not our recommendation.
  • Enhanced Data Security: Akindi complies with FERPA and MFIPPA regulations, ensuring secure handling of student data.
  • Support and Training: Akindi offers unlimited personalized training sessions, chat and email support, group webinars, and a robust help center.

How to activate Akindi in your course

  1. Go to Course Settings.
  2. Select Navigation.
  3. Scroll down to the available options.
  4. Find Akindi.
  5. Select the three-dotted options widget and select Enable.
  6. Finally, at the bottom of the page, select Save.

Questions and Support

If you have questions regarding Akindi, please submit a ticket to FSU's Canvas Support Team, or reach out to Akindi support at [email protected]. You can also use the chat support via the in-app chat functionality.
