The FSU Testing Center provides test proctoring for students and test-takers from other institutions, but please note that we cannot agree to proctor a test until we receive some required information.
To begin the process, please review the following steps and requirements carefully.
Step 1: Information Required from the Test-Taker (You)
Please send an email to [email protected] with a subject line that includes your name and that you would like to use the FSU Testing Center's proctoring services. Please also include the following details so we can reply and confirm if we will be able to proctor your test:
- Test-Taker's Full Name
- Test-Taker's Contact Information (email and phone number)
- Program/course Information (program/course name, program/course number, test name)
- Exam Format (e.g., administered on paper or online)
- Required Software (e.g., browser, LockDown Browser, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Testing Window (dates the exam is available)
- Exam Length (in minutes or hours)
- Do you have an accommodation for extra time? If so, is it included in the test length above?
- Do you require any other official accommodations?
Important: Information about the required software must be submitted at least one week before the exam. If we are unable to support the required software, we want to notify you as early as possible.
Step 2: Information Required from Your Instructor or Institution’s Test Coordinator
You are responsible for requesting that your instructor or test coordinator send the following information directly to: [email protected]. We will only contact them if we need clarification or to return completed exam materials. We usually need to receive this information at least one week in advance. If your instructor or test coordinator cannot provide the exam information that far in advance, we ask that they reach out as soon as possible to let us know when we can expect to receive the test information.
Required details:
- Test-Taker’s Full Name
- Institution’s Name
- Instructor or Test Sponsor's Name
- Contact Information for the Instructor, Test Coordinator, or Test Sponsor
- Program/course name and code/number
- Test name
- Exam Format (paper or online)
- Testing Window
- Exam Length
- Allowed Materials (e.g., scratch paper, formula sheets, notes)
- Method of Return for paper exams or return of used materials (e.g. allowed notes,)
- Required Software (browser, LockDown Browser, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Password or Access Code (if applicable)
Important: Information about required software must be submitted at least one week before the exam. If we are unable to support the required software, we want to notify the test-taker as early as possible.
Scheduling and Fees

The administration fee for proctoring is $15.50 through FSU's Summer 2025 semester. Fees will be changing after the FSU Summer 2025 semester ends, but before the FSU Fall 2025 semester begins.
Please note: This fee is non-refundable. Before registering for your appointment through RegisterBlast (see below), we strongly encourage you to review the following resources on our website to ensure you are fully informed about our policies, procedures, fees, and operating hours:

We do not offer walk-in or same-day appointment creation for non-FSU exams.

Appointments are added to our RegisterBlast appointment management system on demand. After we agree to proctor your exam, we will discuss your preferred appointment time with you via email. This request must be made at least 3 business days before your desired appointment date.
Please note: All exams must end by 3:00 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays, or by 4:30 PM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Paper exams must end by 4:00pm if your institution requires same-day returns.

Once we agree on an appointment time, it will be added to our RegisterBlast page, where you can complete your registration and submit payment.
