Ally checks a variety of digital content to calculate the accessibility scores in the institutional reports. This article contains the specific content that contribute to these scores.
Files
Ally currently checks the following types of files:

- Office file types. See Ally's Office document checklist for more information about specific criteria that Ally looks for.
- Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)
- OpenOffice/LibreOffice files
- Uploaded HTML files
- Image files (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .bpm, .tiff). See Ally's Image checklist for more information about specific image criteria that Ally looks for.
- YouTube videos embedded in course pages. See Ally's YouTube FAQ for more information about specific criteria Ally is looking for in YouTube videos.
WYSIWYG ("what you see is what you get") Canvas content
Bb Ally checks the following pages and other items that are created directly within our Canvas system via Canvas's Rich Content Editor. This data appears as HTML in the Institutional Report. In the CSV export file this content appears as the application column headers denoted in parentheses below.

- Discussion Topics (application/x-discussion-topic)
- Canvas Quiz descriptions (application/x-quiz)
