04/26/2019 Canvas Community Feedback Recommendations

Florida State University understands that there is room for improvement within Canvas. Listed here are some notable ideas being proposed for Canvas integration. Please browse through each idea, and Vote Up if you feel it will be of use for teaching purposes.

  • Regrade quiz when deleting questions
Provides instructors with the option to regrade quizzes after removing a question or allows instructors to exclude a question from the quiz value total
  • Allow Multiple Submission Types on the Same Assignment
Combines the submission types available for assignments. For example, if a media upload and text description is required for an assignment, students will upload the file and use a text entry box for their description
  • Apply Missing Submission Policy to all Assignment Types
This feature idea will require that Canvas applies the "missing submission" feature to all assignment types as it does not currently support submissions of type "No Submission" or "On Paper"
  • When Anonymous Grading is on, hide Student Name in Gradebook
Although Canvas supports anonymous grading, student names and other identifiable information, like FSUIDs and EMPLIDs, are still visible from the Grades center. This idea suggests that when anonymous grading is enabled, the information is also hidden in the Grades
