This error only impacts the old Turnitin LTI integration. If you use the Turnitin Direct integration when creating Turnitin assignments, you will not experience this error.
There is currently an issue with the Canvas integration of Turnitin where users' browsers are automatically zoomed in, which makes the continue button seem to be missing and out of reach. This is currently affecting all browsers.
We have found that this bug is only happening with Assignments that have a lengthy set of instructions or several videos embedded on the assignment page. The best solution we have found to this issue is to have instructors adjust the Turnitin assignment settings so that the assignment opens in a new tab.
To change this Turnitin Assignment setting:
- Click into your course site.
- Select Assignments on the course navigation menu on the left.
- Click on the title of the assignment that you wish to adjust.
- Click the Edit Assignment Settings button that displays on the right of the page.
- Scroll down on the assignment settings page until you reach "Submission Settings." Check the box next to Load this Tool in a new tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the garnet Save button.
