Students: How to Submit Flipgrid Assignments on Mobile Devices

Before you can submit any assignments on a mobile device, you will need to download the Flipgrid app so that you can access the submission page. You will never need to open the Flipgrid app, as it will launch automatically when you are accessing Flipgrid assignments in your Canvas course.

Please note: if you are unable to successfully submit an assignment using the Canvas mobile app, then we recommend using your mobile device's browser or a computer instead.

  1. Open the Canvas mobile app on your device or log into Canvas on your device's browser.
  2. Navigate to the course containing the Flipgrid assignment.
  3. Go to the Flipgrid assignment and tap the Submission tab.
  4. Tap Launch External Tool.
  5. Tap the green plus ("+") button where you will be prompted to Open in app.
