Florida State University's contract with NameCoach expires on March 15, 2025 after which the service will no longer be available.
NameCoach is a tool that promotes a sense of respectful connection by making it easy to communicate your name's pronunciation and learn your students' or classmates' name pronunciations. In their own words, "NameCoach is a Canvas-integrated tool that allows for accurate audio name pronunciations to be recorded by faculty and students. These then can be listened to by the instructor and and students within a Canvas course."
Instructors: To get started, simply enable NameCoach on your course's navigation menu and then follow the steps in the directions below.
Students: You will only be able to use NameCoach if your instructor chooses to enable it in their course.
